Frequently Asked Questions

  • What information do I need to sign up for the USU Hotel Reservation Program?

You will need your USU email address, phone # and department. You will also be asked to create a password.
  • How do I pay for my hotel reservations?

When traveling on university business, you will now charge your room and tax to the new USU Hotel Card. All you need to do is enter your TA #, Index # and Account Code. This then automatically allows you access to our new Hotel Card when you check out. The charge goes directly to the USU Hotel Card account and is paid by the university.

You may still use your USU Travel Card or your personal credit card to make reservations. However, we encourage you to take advantage of the convenience of our new USU Hotel Card.
  • Can I make personal hotel reservations with this service?

Yes, but, of course, you will need to use your personal credit card. The USU service is also available to alumni, students, family and friends.
  • Can someone else make my hotel reservations for me?

Yes. Once you have signed up for the service your Travel Preparer/Initiator will be able to make reservations for you. Of course, you will still be able to make your own reservations if you wish.
  • Will I be able to view my current and past hotel reservations?

Yes. Every time you log in, you will automatically see your USU Hotel Home Page, summarizing all your hotel activity. You can also update your profile or change your password.
  • How do I cancel or change my reservation?

You will be able to cancel or change your reservation from your USU Hotel Home Page. To make changes to your reservation, first, cancel your existing reservation. Then simply make a new reservation with the changes you desire.
  • Can I use the USU Hotel Program and still get the rate offered through the conference I am attending?

Currently, we cannot offer the rate you get through the conference. However, we advise you to check the rates offered through the USU Hotel Program since they are often less than the conference rate.
